Flow Team finishes third in the 07 TWS Team Challenge.

FRIDAY APRIL 6TH, 2007. SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, CA. The Flow Team put together a strong effort to try and defend their 2006 "best team" title at the 2007 Transworld Team Challenge and finished up third overall. Antti Autti, along with fellow amateur riders Tim Humphreys, Jeremy Thompson and Laura Williams showed that "Elvis was definitely in the house". Sporting custom built Flow Elvis costumes put together by Team Manager Extraordinaire Andrew Mutty, the Flow Team finished 3rd in the P.I.G. contest and third in the nighttime shootout and placed third overall behind K2 and Forum. Another strong representation for Flow and big props to Rosann Schwartz for helping assemble the Elvis outfits!

MONDAY MARCH 26TH, 2007 MUNICH, GERMANY. Antti Autti continues be one of the most recognized snowboarders in the World's top media. Onboard Snowboard Magazine has now featured him in a major interview with the cover shot in their final issue of the year. Onboard is the largest Pan-European snowboard magazine. Add this to his Transworld Snowboarding featured interview last season and Antti has claimed the two most coveted interviews for a pro snowboarder. Antti finishes second in final TTR World Rankings

SATURDAY MARCH 17TH, 2007 STRATTON, VERMONT. Antti Autti finished second in the final TTR World Rankings to Shaun White. A strange set of judge's scores in the final TTR 5-star event, the US Open Superpipe, was all that kept him from the title. This was enough to give Shaun White the title by a mere 21 points. Scotty Lago ended up 10th, Risto Mattila was 14th, Tim Humphreys was 18th and Jeremy Thompson 24th in the final TTR World Rankings.

Autti and Bidez Podium at Vans Cup Superpipe
SUNDAY MARCH 4, 2007. Truckee, CA. The Flow Team continued to fire on all cylinders today at the Vans Cup Superpipe with Antti Autti placing second in the men's superpipe and Clair Bidez finishing third in the women's competition. Antti was narrowly beaten out by Danny Kass while trying to defend his Vans Cup Superpipe title from last year. Scotty Lago after qualifying first into the finals ended up in 10th place. Clair was consistently going huge all the way down the pipe and finished third behind Elena Height and Kelly Clarke. Congrats Antti and Clair you also received invites to next years X-Games Superpipe competition!

SATURDAY MARCH 3, 2007 Truckee, CA. Scotty Lago lead a Flow Team charge at the Vans Cup Slopestyle competition today, finishing second to Andreas Wiiig. Flow Team amateur Tim Humphries finished 6th and Antti Autti ended up 9th in the final lottery. With this result Scotty Lago qualifies for 2008 X Games Slopestyle. Check back tomorrow for the Superpipe results where Scotty, Antti, Clair Bidez and Mercedes Nicoll all go for Vans Cup cash.

Antti gets Silver at the World Championships

Arosa, Switzerland. The tough weather and bad snow conditions did not keep the Flow team from the World Championship podium. Antti Autti claimed a silver medal in the Big Air event and Risto Mattila, Christophe Reynders and Scotty Lago all made it into the final 16 knockout bracket and finished 5th, 8th and 9th respectively. Mathieu Crepel of France won the gold and Janne Korpi of Finland won the Bronze.In the Halfpipe, Mathieu Crepel won gold again followed by Kazuhiro Kokubo of Japan and Brad Martin of Canada in a weather plagued event. Flow Team heads to the World Championships

MONDAY JANUARY 15, 2007 AROSA SWITZERLAND. The FIS World Championships start this week and The Flow Team is ready to go. Scotty Lago will be wearing the yellow jersey, as the overall point's leader on the FIS Tour and teammate Antti Autti will be defending his double gold medal performance from two years ago. Antti is the current FIS World Champion in the halfpipe and big air. Also joining them will be teammates Risto Mattila, and Clair Bidez. Risto just finished a great month of riding, finishing 2nd at the Air and Style in Munich and 3rd at the X-Trail in Tokyo. The World Championships run from January 14th-20th just before the Burton European Open also in Switzerland and the X Games in Colorado.

FLOW WELCOMES XAVER HOFFMANN TO THE TEAM THURSDAY JANUARY 11TH, 2007 Flow Snowboarding welcomes another rider to their incredible team signing legendary German Snowboarder Xaver Hoffmann. "We are really happy to add one of the best and most well-known riders in the world to the team. Xaver brings a vast knowledge of experience not only with competing and riding but with product development as well," says Flow German Division Manager Jens Hartmann. The relationship started this season with Xaver testing Flow's bindings and boots which surprised him right from the start on how comfortable the combination really is. Together with the Infinite board, Xaver found a set-up that will help him to continue riding at a high level of performance in the future. Xaver Hoffmann is a multiple German Champion, World Cup winner and 3X Olympic participant. This addition strengthens Flow's current team that includes riders like Antti Autti, Scotty Lago and Risto Mattila who are currently ranked 1st, 2nd and 7th overall in the current TTR World Rankings.

Day 3 in Davos Ch, and the O'Neill Evolution, turned the page on another event, with the Quarter pipe. A massive QP shaped by the Arctic Challenge QP specialist stood some 30 feet at the base of Davos's Jakobson resort. Due to the warm weather and the were and tear that happened in the pipe, the highest air QP contest during the day was pushed into the evening and was limited to a 6 run semi, and final together.

Autti Dominates O'Neill Evolution Pipe

Day 2 of the O'Neill Evolution Tour kicked off today with a BANG! Highest air contest in the pipe, plus Halfpipe semi qualifiers, and finals in one day! Practice began at 9am and the event came to a close just after 10pm. Talk about a long day of snowboarding. Most of the days events were broadcast live to 14 countries and a live web cast. NXT Series "Front Pod" Upgrade
Reports have been received of some breakages of the fastening system which connects the front ladder (ratchet) strap to the binding's baseplate. The part in question is a metal/plastic T nut into which the ladder strap's Philips head screw is inserted. We call this the front pod. See the image below.

X-Trail day 2 kicked off with another large attendance. 30-40,000 people filled the Tokyo Dome to watch 16 of the world's best snowboarder do what they do best. And once again it was a monumental day for snowboarding. FLOW team riders Antti Autti and Risto Mattila rode really well. They made it past the first round into semi finals, and rode their hearts out. Being a judge in this contest is a job I wish never to have, because the level of riding was so good and picking the top three was tough. Risto rode hard and landed a variety of tricks, front 3 shifty, backside rodeo, bs 7 molester, switch backside 9, cab 9, front 9 and cab 10......

X Trail, Tokyo Dome , December 2006. The second TTR 6 star event of the season went down in Tokyo tonight. Coming hot off the Air and Style in Munich Germany, Risto Mattila (2nd place A&S) and Antti Autti (3rd Place A&S) found themselves in a confident mood as the Quarter Pipe contest started today. With a riders field filled with heavy hitters like all three Turino Medalists (White, Kass, and Koski), TTR world Tour leader (Mathieu Crepel), and snowboard superstars (Rice, Muller), and in the end it was the Finish Mafia FLOW team members, Antti Autti and Risto Mattila who took the top positions on the podium with a amazing 2nd (Antti) and 3rd place (Risto). The snowboard world assembles in Japan for the Nissan X- Trail in the Tokyo Dome. Flow team riders Risto Mattila and Antti Autti make their second appearance in the Tokyo Dome at X Trail. Last year Overall Risto was second place in Big Air and Antti was 4th. Fresh off the Nokia Air & Style in Munich Germany, where Risto landed 2nd and Antti just behind him in 3rd, gives the two team mates a huge boost of confidence coming into this event. Munich, Germany - Air and Style is hands down, the biggest contest in Europe. In front of 25,000 fans FLOW Team Riders Risto Mattila and Antti Autti rocked the crowds at the Nokia Air & Style event to take 2nd and 3rd on the podium in a nail-biting contest that saw some of the world's best snowboarders.
